World travellers check out Melbourne for 2024

Melbourne has been named the top Australian city that the world wants to explore in 2024. With the new year just around the corner, Airbnb data revealed 24 global trending destinations for 2024. The list, which wasn’t ranked, included Paris, France; Tokyo, Japan; Marrakesh, Morocco; and Milan, Italy. While some countries, such as Italy, Japan, the US and Brazil, had multiple entries on the list, Melbourne was Australia’s sole representative. Airbnb attributed the nod to Victoria’s capital city to an “eclectic mix of coffee culture, food, art, theatre and sport”.
